Koorsen South Bend Team - Busy Working. Busy Giving Back.
Koorsen Fire & Security’s employees pride themselves on giving back to the communities that they work and live in. When they aren’t busy working to protect and secure their clients’ businesses, you’ll find them taking part in their communities’ organizations and events, including volunteering of their time and money to local charities and nonprofits. One of these great communities that Koorsen and many of its employees call home is the South Bend area.
Supporting the Police
The Koorsen Fire & Security South Bend branch seems to always be busy giving back to the South Bend community. The most recent event that they took part in was the Night Out Against Crime. Hosted by the South Bend Police Department, the Night Out Against Crime helps generate awareness of local anti-crime efforts and strengthen law enforcement’s relationship to the community. Koorsen employees helped out with the South Bend event which included games, entertainment, and giveaways.
Supporting the Firefighters
Another big event that the South Bend branch has enjoyed being a part of is the South Bend Firefighters Blues Festival which is held in July. Koorsen has been a proud sponsor of this festival for many years. The Firefighters Blues Festival features delicious food & drinks, lots of fun, and some great music from some of the top blues artists in the country. All of this year’s proceeds went to the Hoosier Burn Camp and the Survive Alive House.
Supporting the Local Sports
Being that this is South Bend and home to Notre Dame University, it goes without saying that football is a big part of the community. However, when there isn’t a football game happening, you’ll find the Koorsen team cheering on the South Bend Cubs. Koorsen has been a proud sponsor of this Chicago Cubs feeder team for many years. Not to be outdone though, Koorsen is also a sponsor of the Koorsen Bowling Team which features a few of the branches technicians. Between football, baseball, bowling and more; the South Bend branch are big fans of the South Bend sports teams.
Great Things to Come
The Koorsen Fire & Security has been proud to call South Bend home for many years and looks forward to continuing to support the community for many years to come. The South Bend branch is currently in the process of moving into a newly, remodeled building that will help the branch as they continue to grow.
To commemorate the move, the branch will be hosting an open house in conjunction with its annually scheduled AHJ Seminar. The branch will be inviting customers, local vendors and employee families to help them celebrate. Expect food, fun, and more, including the Kasey Program. Scheduled for the fall, stay tuned for more information.
