A New Community for Koorsen
Koorsen is fairly new to the Bowling Green area, especially when you consider the company was founded over 70 years ago. In October 2015, Koorsen Fire & Security acquired Double Dome Systems in an effort to bring its expertise in life safety systems and services to the Bowling Green area. Double Dome Systems was founded in 1996, and provided Bowling Green businesses with high quality service and installation of communication equipment.
While Koorsen already had established branches in Louisville and Nashville, the addition of the Bowling Green location allowed them to be more customer-focused on a local level. In addition to the products and services Double Dome provided, Koorsen also brings extensive experience with commercial security systems, fire extinguishers, fire suppressions systems, and fire sprinkler systems to Bowling Green businesses.
A Busy Year of Giving Back
When the Bowling Green team wasn’t hard at work for their clients over this past year, they were busy giving back to the community they love. The team donated items to the Barren River Area Safe Space (BRASS), a domestic violence shelter & program, for Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October.
In September, they sponsored a golf outing for the local Junior Achievement. Junior Achievement gives students grades K-12 the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices.
The Bowling Green team is also a big fan of the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers. Koorsen not only enjoys attending the games and cheering on the sports teams; they are also a proud sponsor of the football & basketball teams.
Most recently, the Bowling Green team gave back by pledging to donate $1 to the St. Vincent de Paul Holy Spirit Conference food pantry for every new Facebook page like they received. The team ended up with 150 new page likes and donated $150 to help the Saint Vincent de Paul Holy Spirit Conference provide food boxes for individuals and families in need in the Bowling Green area.
70 Years of Giving Back
Since their humble beginnings in 1946, the entire Koorsen team has been dedicated to giving back to the communities it serves. Year after year, Koorsen associates have donated their time, their money and their hearts to the wonderful communities they live, work and play in. While Koorsen has always recognized its associates’ selfless efforts internally, they recently began sharing their acts of kindness with others through their Koorsen Cares initiative. It is their hope that by sharing these stories of giving, they will inspire others to give as well.
