GROWING QUICKLY IN COLUMBUS OHIO
With more than 85 employees and growing every week, the Koorsen Fire & Security Columbus, Ohio branch has quickly outgrown their current building space. Luckily, there is relief on the way as the branch breaks ground on December 8th on a 14,000 square foot addition. This expansion will almost double the current space and allow them to continue to grow for the foreseeable future. It will also provide over 4,000 square feet of new space for Koorsen Environmental Services.
TREMENDOUS GROWTH OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS
Koorsen Fire & Security’s Columbus branch has always been one of the largest branches of the 28 the company currently has throughout Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Tennessee, and Alabama. In 2012, the branch had 51 associates and today they have over 85, a 140% growth. That impressive growth in staff has been met with an equally impressive 142% growth in revenue during the same time period.
ROOM TO GROW
As the team has grown, the work space has not, resulting in battles over parking spots and proper space to work at peak efficiency and effectiveness. At 9:00 am on Friday, December 8th, 2017, that will all change for the better with the groundbreaking of a 14,000 square foot expansion. The Columbus team will have the space to better serve their current clients, including staging areas for customer systems installations.
The Columbus team is currently adding 4 new team members, and hopes to add more jobs in the coming years. Due to be completed by Summer 2018, the team will be more than capable of handling the new team members, as well as 22 more vehicles.
NEW SPACE FOR KOORSEN ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
Part of the expansion will also house the new home of Koorsen Environmental Services (KES), a sister company of Koorsen Fire & Security. KES offers industrial cleaning solutions, including: kitchen exhaust cleaning, grease trap cleaning, dry ice blasting, and combustible dust remediation. They will occupy 4,000 square feet of the new expansion and will be able to more effectively service Koorsen clients.
